My grandma mom had a way with animals. She enjoyed feeding the ducks and could always get the peacocks to spread their beautiful feathers every time we went to the zoo :) I love and will miss you!

Another special memory of Janette is how she liked to doll Priscilla and I up when we were kids. She curled Priscilla's hair and did her makeup when she performed in a Hawaiian ballet number at a recital. Priscilla was the prettiest girl up there! Another time at the end of our summer swimming lessons at HPHS pool, it was decided to have a beauty contest for the little girls. ( I was 7 or 8 yrs old) So Janette washed and curled my very LONG hair (it was a major deal) and then brushed it into nice individual curls and off I went to that beauty contest. Believe it or not, I was one of the finalists! I know it was those curls that did i!
Janette always was interested in learning to cook. She tried to teach Priscilla and me how to make onion rings and a Denver omelet which she learned at a restaurant she worked at when young - I do still remember how to make them even though I was a little kid at the time! She also made wonderful cut-out cookies at Christmas and decorated them elaborately, since she was always very artistic. Once she was married, I remember Sito (sp?) teaching her to make stuffed grape leaves. This was delicious and I have never tasted any better than Janette's version. These are special memories I have of my sister and I know Priscilla shares them as well.
Miriam, I'm truly sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sandi (Russell) Kotchman
