Nellie Marie Warren Jones
Nellie passed away at her home in Madison Heights, Michigan on July 2, 2016 after a long and beautiful life. She was born in Valley View (Madison County), Kentucky on February 12, 1924 to Harlon C. Warren and Lucy Kelly (nee Foster) and grew up in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond S. Jones; daughter, Joyce Kidwell and son, James W. Kidwell; one grandchild, Brent Chavis and son-in-law, Max Chavis; brothers, Sammy Warren and Harlon C. “June” Warren and sister, Grace Jenkins.
She is survived by her son, Joseph (Carol) Jones of Riley, Michigan; daughters, Toni Chavis (Jones) of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Sue (Len) Fleishans of Warren, Michigan, Carolon (Tom) Ring of Warren, Michigan and Sherry Jones of Madison Heights, Michigan. Grandmother of Sandy (Joey) Luster, Wayne Chavis, Tom (Maria) Ring, Len Fleishans, Kim (Dave) Urbanczyk, Jenny (Jeremy) Wright, Brian (Jennifer) Jones, Michelle Jones and Rachel Jones. Great-Grandmother of Nick and Cody Fleishans, Alex, Austin, Andrew and Abby Urbanczyk, Kaylee, Evan and Alliana Jones, Jake and Kaylee Wright, Tom and Michael Ring and Samantha Luster.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 6th at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
