Nancy Marie Krowl's Obituary
Nancy Marie (nee Ihrke) Krowl, age 68, passed away on December 16, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her daughter Autumn (Ross) McCoy and her stepchildren Tara (Jason) Griffin, Tricia (Jody) Riddle and Guy (Jessica) Krowl. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Guy Krowl, and her son, Joshua Lee Lindsey.
Nancy often mentioned that her happiest days were spent with her grandchildren, Tyler (Gail) Griffin, Aiden McCoy, Sophie Maes, Nick Maes, Jonah Riddle and Jaxson Riddle, and her two great-grandchildren, Luke Griffin and Kaia Griffin, who will forever remember their grandma teaching them to walk on stilts, jump on a pogo stick and solve backyard “crime” scenes.
Nancy is also survived by her sisters, Pamela Weaver and Patricia (Mark) Lindsey, and her nephews, Garrett (Parasa) Estenson, Kyle (Sue) Lindsey, Colin Lindsey and Clay Lindsey. Her grandnieces and grandnephews are Daulton Lindsey, Kaylee Lindsey, Visal Estenson, and Samira Estenson. Her uncle, Mike Gibbons, and her many cousins will all miss her dearly.
Nancy went to school in Clawson and graduated in 1974. She worked in the food service industry. Some of her fondest memories were from Augies in Madison Heights, where she worked as a server, bartender, and manager.
She met lifelong friends there and was known for her ability to put together great parties, games, etc.
Nancy’s quick wit, laughter, and sense of humor brought so much joy to all who knew her. Even in death she helped others as an organ donor.
Memorial Visitation will begin at Noon on Saturday, January 4th and will continue until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:30 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
