Mildred Katherine Troutt's Obituary
Mildred Katherine (Kat) Troutt (Knight), age 81, of Sterling Heights, passed away at home on November 25, 2019. She was born in Macon County, Tennessee on April 1st, 1938 to Noel and Maggie Knight.
Beloved wife for 61 years of the late Ray Allen Troutt. Dear mother of Terry (Kathy) Troutt, Sharon Kay (Dudley) O’Dell, Kevin (Shelly) Troutt and the late Kerry “Bub” Troutt. Grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 15 (#16 due March 2020). Great-great grandmother of one. Sister of G.W. Knight (preceded in death by 11 other siblings).
Kat loved life. She loved her family with all her heart. She would light up when her little ones were around. She enjoyed doing crafts, quilting and reading.
She retired from Detroit Coil Co. in January of 1991 to babysit her grandbabies.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the Funeral Service at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 30th, at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills, Michigan.
