Mickey Joe Finney's Obituary
Mickey Joe Finney, 74, passed away in his sleep on March 23, 2026. Born November 30, 1951 in Highland Park, Michigan, Mickey was the second of six children born to Joe Finney and Fred Alice Finney (Hawkins).
Mickey proudly served his country as a United States Marine and had a long career with the Southfield Public School System.
Mickey was a very proud father to his two daughters and a loving grandfather to seven active grandchildren, whose birthdays and special events he never failed to acknowledge with love and blessings.
Mickey loved to talk and socialize and made many friends wherever he went. He cared for all people and lived his life honorably and humbly. He will be missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Reyes (Emil Nakhle), Kristina Acheson, Grandchildren Grace and Greta Reyes, and Elizabeth, Gordon, Daniel, Josep and Henry Acheson. His brothers Rick Finney of CA, Gary Finney (Janis) of Lake Orion, Clifford Finney (April) of Royal Oak, Ronald Finney of OH and his sister Alice Finney of Texas.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service at 4:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
