Michael D. Woodham's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael D. Woodham, a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, son, and friend, who left us peacefully on November 21, 2025 at the age of 75.
Born on October 28, 1950 to Lloyd and Margaret Woodham in Highland Park, Michigan, Michael was raised in Clawson and graduated from Clawson High School in 1968. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, carrying with him a lifelong sense of duty and honor. Michael is survived by his sister, Lynnda (Keith), with whom he shared a lifetime of laughter, love and family connection.
Above all else, Michael was a family man. He is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy, with whom he shared 20 years of love, partnership, and a beautifully blended family. Michael is survived by his two children, Craig (Kristina) and Steven (Melanie) – and his three stepchildren, Daniel, Teri, and Marci – all of whom he guided with patience, humor, and unwavering support. His legacy continues in his four grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and who will forever remember his warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit.
A gifted craftsman, Michael found peace and purpose in woodworking. His workshop was a place of creativity and generosity, where he built everything from handmade furniture to small keepsakes for loved ones. Every piece he crafted carries a bit of his heart. Outside the workshop, he was equally at home in the outdoors - tending his garden, casting a fishing line on quiet mornings, or savoring crisp autumn days hunting. These pursuits brought him freedom, connection to nature, and countless treasured memories shared with family and friends.
Those who knew Michael will remember his steady presence, kind smile, and willingness to help whenever needed. He lived humbly, loved deeply, and gave generously. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he shared and the example he set will continue to live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of his life will be held in spring 2026. Family can be contacted for further details.
May he rest in eternal peace.
