Michael,
For a man who wasn’t big on photos, I fortunate enough to find a few. A few moments frozen in time of 22 years of friendship and memories. Regardless of what life threw our way the last few years, your loss is something I still can’t find words for sometimes. From high school to our 30’s, we shared a lot of moments. A lot of accomplishments and successes, and unfortunately a lot of forced growth and misfortunes. Through them all, we had each other most of the time. You were my best man, a best friend, and a brother. A lot of my favorite memories and milestones included you by my side. The birthdays we shared together being 10 days apart, trips up north for bros weekends, concerts where we sang at the top of our lungs, and most importantly the conversations and jokes we had throughout all those years. Old stories of high school drama and humanities classes, nights downtown at the apartment, and the nights in the garage at Bill and Mardel’s living in the moment as young men in our early 20’s dreaming of the future and the possibilities we thought would come. To quote one our favorite bands WCAR “our vision for this world will not die when we are dead” and I can only hope to keep that vision and brotherhood alive in your honor. Regardless of what awaits on the other side, just know I look forward to seeing you again my brother. Save me a seat in the garage on the other side, we’ll have plenty to catch up on and reminisce about.
I love you brother,
Mo
