Mary Catherine Vulcano's Obituary
Mary Catherine Vulcano, age 87 of Warren, Michigan passed away on December 17, 2024 at her home. She was born on December 1, 1937 in Michigan to Parlin and Jessie Acuff.
Mary was predeceased by her ex-husband, Antonio and her daughter, Debbie Bailey. Mary is survived by her sons Mario (Joyce) Vulcano, Tony (Teresa) Vulcano, and Derek Vulcano. Dear grandmother of Marisa, Jonathan, Chloe, Amber, Jason, Dominic, Faith, Gabrielle and Kaleb. Cherished great-grandmother of one great-grandson. She is also survived by her siblings Jerry Acuff, Ruth Learst, and Barbara Soemo.
Mary was a strong woman of faith believing in her Savior, Jesus Christ. Anyone who knew Mary would know that she loved worshipping the Lord and was a reflection of Psalms 34:1 "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth". She lived out her faith in everyday interactions and it was obvious that she was living each day for the Lord.
Mary worked for Hazel Park Schools for many years as a Bus Driver and following her retirement she continued driving for the seniors at the Berkley Senior Center. Mary enjoyed playing Pinochle with the seniors and taking them to different events throughout the years. Just like her father, Mary was a HUGE Detroit Tigers fan and rarely missed a game.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be taking place on Monday, December 23rd at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery to follow the Funeral Service.
