Mary Ellen Vaughan's Obituary
Mary Ellen Vaughan, age 60 of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away on June 23, 2023 at John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan. She was born on May 16, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan.
Daughter of Eugene Schafranek and predeceased by her mother, Barbara Schafranek. Sister of Kathryn McCarel (her twin) and Elizabeth Gersch. Aunt of Madison McCarel, Davis McCarel and William Gersch. Niece of Jacqueline Schafranek. Survived by her close friend, Elizabeth Scott.
Mary served in the Army from 1988 to 1992. She received many awards and commendations during her service time. After serving in the Army, Mary worked as a Nurse at Woodard Hills Nursing Home and at Binsons Hospital Supply. She truly loved and cared about all of the patients that she took care of.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
