Mary Louise Rheaume's Obituary
Mary Louise (nee Barnes) Rheaume, age 90, passed away on December 17, 2022 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy. She was born on February 8, 1932 in Eldorado, Illinois.
She had been residing at Pomeroy Assisted Living/Memory Care in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Formerly of Plymouth, Michigan, and a longtime resident of Ferndale, Michigan with her husband, Richard Rheaume. They were married for 56 years until his death in June 2014. Mary is survived by her 5 children, Ann (Mark), Joan, Judy, Bill, and Ernie, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. She had 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her sister Patricia and brother Carl, and very many nieces and nephews.
Mary was a sweet lady, loved by all who knew her. She kept very busy with family and friends. Spending family time was most important to her. She helped everyone who needed it with her time or money, or a ride in her car to where they needed to go including frequent trips to the store which she gave freely on a daily basis.
She was a wonderful mom and friend to all. She loved to keep her home neat and clean, and was always busy working in the house, or outside. She loved working in the yard and growing flowers, raking leaves, and more.
She worked at the elementary school helping out where she was needed. She was an election worker for the city of Ferndale and also helped elderly neighbors who needed a hand. Mary is loved dearly and will be missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
