It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my dear friend and Church buddy. I will remember our Sunday morning trips to Mass and our searching the papers to see who had Boost on sale that week. Violet so loved her family and friends and enjoyed the little things in life.
My sympathies are with her family as they celebrate and yet miss the wonderful and fiesty woman that she was. I was blessed to have known her even for so short a time and I thank God for that.
At this very sad time may Violet's family find some small comfort in knowing that we have fond memories of Violet. She and my mother, Wilma, became good friends and Violet often walked over to my Mom's to visit when my young daughter Katie and I would go down to R.O. My Mom and Violet shared movies, dinners, Mass, church events,Project Help, trips including Italy & NY and I know my Mom deeply valued their friendship.
When we cared for my late Mother it was always important that she had the afghan that Violet made on her bed whether she was at home, my sister's or my house.
