Mary Jean Ortbals, age 87 of Royal Oak, Michigan passed away on August 3, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 30, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan.
Beloved Wife of Fred Ortbals for 65 years. Dear Mother of Ann (Pat) Franken, Robert (Jill) Ortbal, Donna Ortbals and pre deceased by her baby daughter, Sandra. Dear Grandmother of Fred, Diane, Denise, Tom, Lindsey, Eric, Tyler, Dylan and the late Dan. Great-Grandmother of Ella, Vera, Margot, Abe and Alex. Mary Jean is pre deceased by her parents, James and Marge Coltman.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 9th beginning with 9:30 am Instate, followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
