Mary Jane Edgemon's Obituary
Mary Jane Edgemon, 87, and a long-time resident of Hazel Park, Michigan, passed away Tuesday the 17th of March in her home. She was born on the 26th of August 1932 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Mary Jane married the love of her life, CR Edgemon, and had 6 beautiful children. Along with being a mother, Mary Jane worked at Crowley’s for over 20 years, and then began her career volunteering. Mary Jane enjoyed traveling to Tennessee, bowling, and puzzles, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family.
We are thankful Mary Jane is now reunited with her soul mate, CR. Mary Jane left a legacy of “Family First” and “Home Sweet Home” that her loved ones will always remember. Her house was never just a house to anyone who stepped in, it was a home.
Mary Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband, CR, her parents Bernard & Mildred, her brother Robert, and her son Michael. She is survived by her brother Gordon Eder and sister Dolores Crooks (Matt), Children: Marie Smith (Joe), Tracy Edgemon (Linda), Mona Reich (Alec), Loraine Hanser (Chuck), Tim Edgemon (Dawn), her grandchildren: Brandie (Gary), Tyler (Chelsea), Nikki (Jason), Ashley (Aaron), Kate (Adam), Briana (Sean), Austin, and Morgan (Zach), and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends who will keep her legacy alive.
Memorial Visitation will be taking place on Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 11:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with the Memorial Service taking place at 1 p.m. at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights, Michigan.
