Marion A. Thornton, age 86, of Royal Oak passed away July 1, 2010. She was born January 28, 1924 in Highland Park, Michigan. Beloved wife of George W. Thornton for 70 years. Dearest mother of James L. (Maria) Thornton, Richard A. (Sue) Thornton, Marion (David) Thornton, and the late George W. Thornton Jr. She is also survived by her sister Doris (George) Rand and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Visitation Saturday, 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am, at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
