THOMAS, LUCY, Age 92 of Hazel Park, MI. Died Sept. 3, 2007. Loving wife of the late Elmer G. (died 6-13-71) Dearest mother of Gloria (William) Diffenderfer and Margaret (Brian) McCreedy. Dear grandmother of Brian (Marie), Todd (Dianna) Diffenderfer, Kristin (Bryan) Doe, Heather (Keith) Hudson, Erik McCReedy, and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters; Grace Rabine, Cecelia Sadowski, Aurelia Sexton, Maevine Korzeniewski, and her brother in law Jerry Thomas., and many nieces and nephews. She has been a Hazel Park resident for 71 years and has been involved with St. Justin Church serving on the Rosary Alter Society and the Council for Catholic Women. She also volunteered at the Bortz Heath Care facility and was their volunteer of the year. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3-9 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights. The funeral services will be Thursday at St. Justin Church, Hazel Park, 9:30 am instate followed by a 10 am mass. Burial in Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills. The family suggests donations to St. Justin Church in lieu of flowers.
