It gives me a broken heart to have to say good bye to a beautiful lady that allowed me to be a daughter. She would always remind me that I wasn't a daughter N Law that I was her daughter. I remember the first time meeting her and she spilled the beans on Norm and said she knew he was in love with me from the first time he talked to her about me. She said that he lit up and she said that I was the one and she was right (she usually was right about everything). I lost my mom 3 weeks ago and she sat in my chair while rocking Blake and said don't you worry you will always have me as a 2nd mom. I have enjoyed living next door which allowed her to come over often and sometimes for no reason at all. We would just talk and laugh for hours. If I needed to kick norm in the butt she would get on him and tell him that he was wrong and to apologize. She would be the grandma that a grandchild could ever dream of having. Sydney would go there in the am (calling Gram Lucy the second she got up) and they would do the same thing over and over ... sit on the deck outside (no matter how hot mom got she would still sit out there with Syd), they would put powder on and Sydney would go in her drawers and take out all of her jewelry and boxes and they would go thru it and try it on and put it all back, Sydney would always come home proud to have lipstick on (just like Gram). Blake loved Gram and their walk about (when she would babysit him). She is the type of lady that everyone was blessed to have known. She love unconditional and with all of her heart. She never judged and was always there. She loved her husband and her children and grandkids with all of her heart. With deep sadness I have to say good bye to you and let you go home with God. Until we meet again MOM..... I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've struggled with what to write about a woman who was an amazing mother as well as my best friend. The best I can come h comes is from a song we both loved:

My life won't be the same without you. I will miss you more than words can say.

I always loved walking across the street and talking with Mrs. Hedges when she was on the front porch. I always loved their boxer dogs and thought they were so cute. I now have two of my own. You are loved by many and will be missed. RIP Mrs. Hedges heaven gained one hell of an angel ❤️
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this today...the world has lost a very special person and Heaven has definitely gained an amazing angel. Mrs. Hedges, who used to be my mother in-law and is the grandmother to my two older kids, but more importantly she was a dear friend and remained that way up until her passing. She was a very special person to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. I met her back in 1977 and she forever changed my life. She was like a second Mom to me, someone you could always go to for any reason without worrying about her judging you. She judged no one and everyone felt very comfortable around her, like you've known her forever, she possessed that special gift...she was everyone's "Mom". At times she was known as Mrs. "H" who was also very well known for her "monstrous" chocolate chip cookies! The best in the world without a doubt!!! She will truly be missed by many...she is survived by a very supportive and loving family that I'm sure she is watching over at all times and will continue to do so. She is without a doubt, "in the arms of angels "...rest in peace "Mom" you definitely deserve it.

Scott and Fran DeLorme are so sorry for your loss and ours. We will never forget how sweet and caring Lucille was to us. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. Not many people remember my Jewish holidays, but Lucille did. A very special lady.
