Lon Everett Simpson Jr. (Lonnie)
Lonnie Simpson, 53, of Madison Heights, MI, passed away suddenly on February 2, 2026.
Born in Royal Oak, MI, on March 26, 1972, Lon was the beloved son of Lon Everett Simpson and Patricia Simpson. He was a specialized plumber in sewer and drain excavation.
Known for his incredible kindness, Lonnie was the kind of person who would literally give you the shirt off his back. He had a deep love for motorcycles and cherished his Irish heritage.
Lonnie is survived by his partner, Samantha Thieman, and their children: Brooklyn, Finnegan, and Lon III. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Simpson, and his sisters: Lori Ryding, Denise Casaceli, Mary Rohr, Susan Sevek, and Sharon Holzer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lon Simpson, his sister, Vicki, and his grandparents, Rosa and Olliver Simpson, and Mary and Payton Nottingham.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with the Funeral Service at 5:30 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial will be at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills, Michigan.
