Lois June Slivatz's Obituary
Lois June Slivatz, age 95, a resident of Hazel Park, Michigan since 1947 and formerly of Royal Oak, Michigan passed away on April 6, 2020 at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. She was born on September 4, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan to Ben and Mable Pearce.
Beloved Wife of the late Albert “Al” Slivatz for 49 years. Mother of Raymond Marentette, Robert “Bob” (Lynn) Slivatz, Daniel “Dan” Slivatz and Michael “Mike” Slivatz. Grandmother of 3 and one pre-deceased grandson. Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother of Many, Many and Many. Sister of Ronald (Mary) Pearce. Sister-in-law of Mary Pearce. She is pre-deceased by her sisters Fern Stanton and Jean Thomas, her brothers Ben Pearce, Jack Pearce, Russell Pearce and Bob Pearce. Lois is also pre-deceased by her sister-in-law Beatrice (Gene) Gariepy.
Lois is the Past President of the St. Mary Magdalen Altar Society, Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Member of the Daughters of Isabella – St. Jane de Chantel Circle # 998, Madison Heights Intermediate Women’s Club, Hazel Park Lions Club, Fr. Solanus Guild, VFW Auxiliary Post # 1669 Royal Oak and the Ladies Auxiliary division of the 82nd Airborne.
Lois retired as the Office Manager for Dr. Goldstein after 10 years and began working at Hopcroft Funeral Home as an evening associate/greeter. She was a "Rosey Riveter" during WWII.
The Memorial Mass will be held on September 4, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Hazel Park. Memorial visitation will begin at 10:00 am at the church.
