Mary Seiber
I am assuming by the date of death that this was the Lila who lived at Porthaven Manor on the third floor for the last couple of years. I remember her as a Christian woman who shared my love of the old hymns and quartet groups. Last year, when one of our other residents fell and broke her hip right after dinner, Lila was so concerned that she not be alone at the hospital she asked me if I would driver her to the Emergency room where we both waited until family could arrive. I will never forget her kindness in wanting to do that. The lady with the broken hip has recovered, but sadly Lila started to develop swollen legs and feet and soon was unable to walk. I did help her one time with her laundry after she was back for a whle and I did visit her at Regency, but often wish I had sent cards or visited more. Surprised her funeral was not in Port Huron, and perhaps this is not the same Lila, but the date of death is the same, and Troy is close. That is where my Dad was cremated back in the sixties. At any rate, our Lila is now in comfort with her Savior, and can sing the songs of praise once again in a far more glorious setting.
