Lee Edward Truba's Obituary
Lee Truba age 80 of Hazel Park transitioned peacefully from this earthly life to his Heavenly home on September 29. He was born in his grandparent’s home in Ferndale, Michigan on June 25, 1940 to Woodrow and Marian (White) Truba.
Beloved husband of Charlotte, treasured father of Colleen (Timothy) Wayland, Shanda (Mark) Baniszewski and adored Papa T to Emma and Laurel Wayland and ShayLynn and Ava Baniszewski. Lee’s greatest treasure was his family and he looked forward to “Monday night dinner” with the whole family at our home every week. Lee also leaves behind two brothers, Gary Truba (Sharon), Duane Truba (Ann deceased) and many nieces and nephews.
Lee attended Hazel Park schools, Union College in Kentucky and Adrian College in Michigan. He spent his career in middle management in the insurance industry. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior as a teenager and served the Lord faithfully throughout his life particularly in the Gideon ministry distributing free Bibles to hotels, hospitals, schools, military centers and prisons.
Lee was a very caring, loving person and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation Thursday, October 8th from 3-9 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071 (one block north of 13 Mile Road on the west side of John R Road). The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 10th with a 10:00 am In-State followed by an 11:00 am Funeral Service at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 17017 East Twelve Mile Rd, Roseville, MI 48066. Burial will take place at Parkview Cemetery.
