Lawrence Vincent Hein's Obituary
Lawrence Vincent Hein, born in Detroit, MI, on August 9, 1951, peacefully passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2025, at Henry Ford St. John’s Hospital.
Lawrence cherished life’s simple pleasures. He found joy in car shows, strolling around and admiring the craftsmanship, working on cars, playing chess, enjoying games of pool with friends and family, and spending treasured times with his grandchildren. The smell of Grandpa’s garage, where he spent countless hours tinkering with cars, will always bring back the fondest memories.
He loved sharing his days with his beloved dog Fifi, exploring estate sales, hunting, and gathering with friends at wild game dinners. Lawrence had a deep passion for family, enjoyed late-night card games, and had a way of making everyone around him smile—often with a joke or playful comment. Together, he and his beloved wife celebrated just shy of 52 years of love and companionship, savoring the quiet pleasures of retirement up north.
Lawrence is predeceased by his parents, Agnes and Henry Hein, and his brothers, Earl and Richard.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Hein, his children Michael (Laura) Hein, Larry (Amy) Hein and Julie (Patrick) Cichoracki and his cherished grandchildren Jacob, Josh, Amber, Kyle, Abigail, and Brandon. He is also survived by his brother, Wayne (Lora) Hein, and his sister, Rosemary (Dennis) Lyczkowski; his nephew and nieces, to whom he was a beloved uncle; his cousins; and many dear friends.
He will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and loved beyond words. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family will hold a private gathering to celebrate Lawrence’s life with close family and loved ones.
