Keith Doehring's Obituary
Keith D. Doehring, Sr., age 67 of Ferndale, passed away at home July 10, 2009, of lung cancer. He was born August 24, 1941, in Southfield to Wilbert and Olive Doehring. Keith graduated from Ferndale High School in 1959, and attended Lawrence Tech. He was employed at Reichhold Chem until it closed. He retired from ND Industries in 2007. Keith enjoyed teaching children to play cribbage and chess, hunting, fishing, drawing, photography and spending time with his grandchildren. He was president and coach for 16 years for the Webster Elementary Youth Wrestling Club in Hazel Park. Keith leaves his wife of 40 years Mary (nee Hulbert-Davis); children Mark (Carla), Cynthia Burgagni, Charles (Terry), all of Warren, Keith Jr. of Tennessee, Kellee (Justin) Smalley of Virginia; mother Olive and brother Clifford (Marie) of North Carolina; grandchildren Ami, Michael, Jonathan, Sara and Lacie Doehring, Andrew Burgagni, Kristan (Donnie) Hall, Tricia (James) Meek; mother-in-law Katherine Miller; many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends. He was predeceased by his father Wilbert; father-in-law Regis Miller; brother-in-law Bill Hulbert and daughter-in-law Sheryl Doehring. Visitation Tuesday 9:00 AM until the time of service at 12:30 PM, at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R., Hazel Park. Burial in Cadillac East Cemetery, Clinton Twp. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurses Assoc. of S/E Michigan, Hazel Park Lions Club, or Webster Elementary School of Hazel Park.
