My sympathy and prayers, especially to Melanie and Serena, but also Sally and Bill and all of us.
I have such fond memories of visits with Uncle Emden and Aunt Wanda and Emdetta and Roger and Kathy. The visits always felt carefree for us Riley kids, a warm and safe place--and always lots of food to eat. Emdetta was mostly grown up, Roger went off to the Navy (oh, do I remember him in his uniform) but Kathy was one of us kids, close enough in age that she played with us. A special time.
Now Kathy is free to laugh and sing and re-join her brother and sister and mom and dad.

Dear Serena, I never saw your Mother that she did not have a smile on her face. Now she is in her heavenly body and is beyond all pain or tears. She is in the presence of God's love and grace, and that is all she has for you. What a wonderful, devoted daughter you have been. She was a wonderful and funny young lady when I knew her back in the late 70's and early 80's. She was beautiful inside and out. She was some one I looked up to in my teenage years. And I will always be a better person because I knew her. Rest in peace with God, now Kathy.

Kathy . . . fifty years of memories . . . some we laughed about and others we cried about. I am sorry that we will not be creating any new memories this side of Heaven.
