Judith Ann Cormendy's Obituary
Judith Ann Cormendy, age 85 of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away on February 27, 2026 at Corewell Health Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. She was born on May 14, 1940 to Ruby and Herbert Dennis, Sr.
Cherished Mother of Cynthia A. (Anthony) Fisher, Joseph (Lorey) Cormendy, Jr., Michael (Jill) Cormendy (predeceased) and Brian Cormendy. Grandmother of 9 and Great-grandmother of 2. Judith was one of eight children and the baby of the family. She is the last to pass and is reunited with her seven siblings.
Judith was a Golden Eagle and a 5 time Woman President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Post 3206, a lifelong member at the Madison Heights VFW and a member of the American Legion of Royal Oak. She bartended at the Madison Heights VFW until 2007 and at the Eagles post.
She enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Because of her competitive nature in all that she did, she cheated at cards.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with an Eagles Service at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 6th at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial will be at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, Michigan.
