Erickson of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Randall Erickson of Rochester Hills, Michigan, James Erickson of Madison Heights, Michigan and Taryn Erickson of Rochester Hills, Michigan. Grandmother of William Hersha-Erickson and Jonathen Erickson. Daughter of John Wilburn Rodgers (deceased 1977) and Exie Hollon Rodgers (deceased 1992). Sister of Dallas Glenn Rodgers of Troy, Michigan (deceased 1997).
Her parents, John Rodgers and Exie (Hollon) Rodgers had moved to Michigan from Kentucky. Juanita split her time between Michigan and Kentucky where her mother's family was from in Campton, Kentucy. Juanita loved her family's home state of Kentucky, traveling there often especially during summers when she was young.
Juanita graduated from Royal Oak Dondero High School. Juanita met, and later married her husband, Ralph J. Erickson in 1962. Over the years, they welcomed 5 children into their family: Randall, Roger, James, Kirk and Taryn. During all this time Juanita helped her husband, Ralph to grow his business, John R. Appliance, still in business to this day. Juanita raised her family in Troy in 3 different houses all on or attached to the same street. She ultimately had her dream house built and handled most of general contractor duties herself.
Juanita loved all people and animals as well. She and her husband Ralph had a horse named Dusty which she rode quite confidently.
Juanita loved her family and friends. She always wanted to keep everyone close to her as possible. Her brother "Glenn" and his wife, Mildred lived in the house next door with Juanita's nieces Sondra Rodgers Gnass, Rhonda Rodgers Dalbec, Tara Rodgers and Glenna Rodgers Hersha for many years so all the children could grow up together in Troy, Michigan.
Juanita had a very kind heart and soul. She helped everyone she could. She was the rock upon which everyone leaned. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
