Joyce Ann Hays, age 77 of Ferndale, Michigan. She was born on April 4, 1934 in Manistee, Michigan. Joyce passed away on April 5, 2011 at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan.
Joyce is the Beloved Wife of the late Donald Boyd Hays (May 29, 2008). They were married on May 20, 1960. She is the mother of Joel Hays (Janet) of Chesterfield Township, Michigan; Beth (Michael) Jordan of Ortonville, Michigan; Rebecca (William) Luddington of Hazel Park, Michigan; Stephanie (David) Richardson of Royal Oak, Michigan and Jon (Jacquline) Hays of Shelby Township, Michigan. Grandmother of Debra, Emily, Katie, Renee, Lucas, Nathan, Joseph, Elizabeth, Michael, Alexandra and Max. Great-Grandmother of Jayson and Emery. Daughter of Robert O. Kiefer and Ella Mitchell Scott. Sister of Robert G. (Kathleen) Kiefer, the late William (1972) (Marsha) Kiefer, Kathleen (Thomas) Bartoszek, John (Linda) Kiefer and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 4:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Road, Hazel Park, Michigan. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 beginning with 10:30 am Instate and 11:00 am Service at White Chapel Cemetery (Chapel of Flowers), Troy, Michigan. Pastor Rick Yokel of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Hazel Park will officiate. A private family funeral service will take place at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
