Joseph Alfred Ihle, Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph Alfred Ihle, Jr., age 69, of Warren, passed away on June 29, 2016. He was born December 14, 1946 in Bristow, Oklahoma.
Beloved husband of Sheila, married on February 18, 1977. Dear father of Scott Ihle. Also survived by his father Joseph A. Ihle, Sr. Predeceased by his mother Marjorie Ihle. He is survived by his siblings Mary Gentry, Bill Ihle and Ruth Ann Middlebrooks. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Joseph served in the U.S. Airforce serving in Korea during the Vietnam Era and was a military policeman during that time. He was well decorated during his time he served. Joseph was very active with the V.F.W. He served as the Post Commander in the Madison Heights Post #9507 then transferred to the Southfield Post #2645 where he served as Quarter Master. He was a past commander for the Oakland County V.F.W. and currently as Senior Vice Commander of the V.F.W. 5th district. Joseph was also a member of the Hazel Park Masons where he was a two term Past Master and was elected Mason of the Year twice. Joseph was also a Shriner.
Visitation Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 3-9 pm with a 6:30 pm Masonic service and funeral service with the V.F.W. at 7 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Road, Madison Heights. (one block north of 13 Mile on the west side of John R)
