Joseph William Cormendy Sr.'s Obituary
Joseph William Cormendy, Sr., age 81 of Madison Heights, passed away February 11, 2020. He was born July 20, 1938 in Royal Oak Township, Michigan to Joseph and Mary Cormendy.
Beloved father of Cynthia A. (Andy) Fisher, Joseph W. (Lorey) Cormendy, Jr. Michael C. (Jill) Cormendy, Brian K. (Linsay) Cormendy and Matthew Mounts. Joseph is survived by his wife Judy Cormendy. Grandfather of nine. He is survived by siblings Clara Cormendy and Arthur Cormendy. Joseph has been predeceased by one sister and five brothers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Joseph was a member of the Hazel Park Eagles and a Charter member of the Clawson Eagles. He retired from General Motors and a member of the UAW.
Visitation Monday, February 17th from 3-9 pm with a service on Tuesday, February 18th at 11 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071 (one block north of 13 Mile Road on the west side of John R Road). Burial at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak, Michigan.
