Joseph "Lil Joe" Bercel's Obituary
JOSEPH “LIL JOE” BERCEL, age 82 of Taylor, Michigan passed away October 30, 2020 at his home. He was born October 25, 1938 in Derry, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Mary Bercel.
He was predeceased by his Life Partner of 35 years, Sharon “Gypsy” Strnad on January 5, 2015, and his daughter MaryJean Dean. A family man that will be missed by all, he is survived by his children, Louis (Laura) Dean, Sam (Ian) Darby, Kathy (Tony) Perry, Shannon (Oliver) Lewis, and his step-daughter Connie Williams. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, his brother John (Gloria) Bercel, 3 nieces and nephews and many cousins.
With true Renegade heart and soul, Lil Joe was a life-time member of the Detroit Renegades Motorcycle Club #315, for more than 50 years. He enjoyed everything to do with being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He excelled at archery and shooting and was a member of the NRA. A licensed builder by trade, he joked about carrying houses on his back.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 6, 2020 from 3-9pm, with the funeral taking place Saturday November 7, 2020 at 11:00am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
Due to Covid 19 safety regulations, masks are required inside the funeral home.
