Jose Jaro Jasa's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Jose Jasa, known as Boying to his family, on July 19, 2026. We are deeply grateful for the life he lived and the unconditional love he had for his family and friends.
Beloved Husband of Rosa Jasa. Devoted father to Jovina (Joby) Young and his son-in-law Jeff Young, and loving grandfather to Tala Young and Kaya Young.
Boying was married to the love of his life Rosa for 49 years. It was love at first sight and he vowed to take care of her. Together they shared a beautiful life in the United States where he was an electrical engineer who worked tirelessly to achieve the American Dream, providing for his family. While he was quiet in nature, his principles of dedication, kindness, and hard work was a loud strength that was instilled to his daughter and just about everyone he came across.
Boying loved becoming a grandfather to his apo (grandchildren) Tala and Kaya. He loved asking Kaya to bring him pizza and getting his head rubbed from Tala.
He is lovingly remembered by his sister Itang, brother Luis, and is now reunited with his sister Fler, who preceded him in death.
Whether you knew him as Boying or Jose, you knew he was one of the most kindhearted humans you will ever meet. He loved horse racing, tending to his sitaw (long bean) in the garden, and teasing his grandchildren.
Though he is no longer with us, he is forever in our hearts. We will miss him deeply.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26th from 4:00-7:00 PM with a Memorial Service starting at 7:00 PM at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights, MI.
