John "Jack" Tierney's Obituary
John “Jack” Tierney, age 74, of Ferndale for over 45 years, passed October 14, 2016 at home. Born March 10, 1942 in Hazel Park. He is the beloved husband of Judy Tierney. Loving father of: Sean (Elizabeth) Tierney, Michael (Janet) Tierney, Bridget (Joe) Barr, Colleen (Ed) Latimer and Megan (Gary) Koutsoubos. 13 Grandchildren, also brother of Larry (Michela) Tierney.
He was very involved with the Detroit Irish American Community. He was former President of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.
Visitation: Tuesday (Oct 18) 3 to 9 PM at Hopcroft Funeral Home, Hazel Park Chapel. Service: Wednesday, In State 10:30 AM, followed by an 11:00 Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Church. Burial, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
