John Daniel Begley's Obituary
John Daniel Begley was born on April 28, 1981 and passed away on January 1, 2023 in his home located in Hazel Park, Michigan where he grew up. He leaves behind his loving parents Gayle and George Gary Marion, his father John Gary Begley preceded him in death. Also his big sister Crystal Begley (husband John Bonnici), brother Jamie Marion and younger sister Cassie Marion whose daughter Nova Marion was his world. John also leaves behind a large extended family of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and countless friends.
John has always been adventurous. He loved riding his big bright yellow crotch rocket. He had fun finding his favorite fishing places. His campsite was the one with the biggest campfire filled with hours of talking and fun times. John was always taking Harley his yellow lab for long walks and rides in his SUV. She went everywhere with him. He had hoped to train her as a volunteer emotional support dog. John loved his long time cat Kitcat who adored John. They all slept together on his bed and followed him all around. John enjoyed his beautiful large salt water tank. He especially liked to go shop and look at all the new corals and fish he could get.
John was kind and courteous to strangers. He was the first one to stop and help someone in need. When a friend or family member needed him you knew he would be there for you no questions asked. It was in his nature to protect people and to trust them. John loved us, just as his family loved him back unconditionally. Through all life’s ups and downs we did our best to be there for each other. He had special bonds with his sisters and brother, each that was tested but never broken. As parents go through life loving and worrying about our children we want the best for them. We try to teach them about wants and needs. John is a need to his family and without John we are left with a piece missing and our world is never going to be the same.
The most important thing in John’s life was being the best Uncle to Nova. It is hard to find a picture or video without them together. Nova is eight years old now and he was so proud of her. He loved to hear her read books on her own and sing songs to him. She would not do that for most people. They had so many play dates at Barbie’s house, blowing bubbles, fun walks and going to all the parks and playgrounds around. He was always patient, loving and kind with her. Nova is so proud and in love with her Uncle John!
John was excited about his recent baptism at Kensington Church and he got ordained online. He was always telling everyone God loves them. I know John would want to thank those people who helped him along the way in his life. So many messages and prayers were sent his way. So many kind words were spoken about him. I am sure John is so happy to know how much he meant to everyone and how he will truly be missed.
