Joan Chase's Obituary
Joan Adele Chase of Madison Heights passed away on June 1, 2010, at the age of 75. She was born on October 7, 1934 in Detroit. She was the loving wife of Gerald W. Chase (1996), and the beloved mother of Susan Chase, Jeffrey (Lisa) Chase, and Ronald Chase. Dearest Grandmother of Michael, Scott, Jennifer-Lynn, Matthew, Leah, and the late Christina Schreiber. Dear sister of Leo Morin, Aline Diehl, Carmen (Don) Schinker, and Jeanine (Ed) Starbird. She was predeceased by 2 other sisters Madeline and Thelma. She graduated from St. Gregory Catholic School. She retired from Montgomery Wards after 29 years of dedicated service as a sales clerk. She was a faithful member of St. Vincent Ferrer Church for 50 years. Visitation will be held at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Rd. Madison Heights, on Sunday from 2-8 pm, rosary at 7 p.m. at Hopcroft Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Monday, visitation starting at 9:00 a.m., followed by a 9:30 a.m. mass, at St. Rene Church, 35955 Ryan Road, Sterling Heights. Burial in Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, with a short service in the chapel. She will be dearly missed.
