Jewel J. Stinson's Obituary
Jewel J. Stinson, age 100 of Warren, Michigan, and former resident of McEwen, Tennessee passed away on May 1, 2026 at her home. She was born on October 1, 1925 in McEwen to Jess and Esse Collins.
Jewel is pre-deceased by her husband, Marshall Stinson. She is also predeceased by her son, Bob (the late Karen) Finch, and her two daughters, Pat (the late Richard) McLaughlin and Claudine Druke. She is preceded in death by 10 siblings.
Jewel is survived by her daughter Linda (Jesse) Dilbeck, her step-children Ronald (Jean) Stinson and Sandra (Danny) Parchmant, and her brother John (Marilyn) Collins.
She lived to see 5 generations of family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Hazel Park Church of the Nazarene Children’s Fund camp.
Visitation will begin on Monday, May 4th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. The Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday May 5th at 11:00 am, beginning with 10:30 am Instate, at The Woods Church located 14300 E Thirteen Mile Road, Warren, MI 48088.
Visitation will again take place on Thursday, May 7th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home located at 9729 US Highway 70 E McEwen, TN 37101. A Funeral Service will be at Missionary Ridge Baptist Church on Friday, May 8th at 11:00 am. The burial will take place at Missionary Ridge Cemetery in Bon Aqua, Tennessee following the service.
