Jessie Kohler's Obituary
Jessie Kohler, age 89, died in her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. On March 7, 2010, she passed from their lives into the waiting arms of God, and her beloved husband Mark, who predeceased her in 2008.
Jessie was born on July 29, 1920, in Detroit, Michigan. She married the love of her life, and together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. She leaves behind five heart-broken children, Pat (Gene) Gorski, Judy (Robert) Cluff, Kathy (Thomas) Williams, Mark (Debra) Kohler and Laurie (David) Zetye. Also left to grieve are 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren with a 7th child due in October. Jessie was predeceased by her grandson Matthew in 1995.
In addition, she is survived by her dear brother Henry (Vickie) March, her loving sister Vickie Brown, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbors and friends. She shared a very special bond with Joanie and Bill Grigoriou, whom she lived next door to for 37 years.
She taught her family everything they ever needed to know about love and giving. She was the heart of their family, and never failed to show her love. She will be cherished and missed forever.
Visitation Tuesday 5-8 PM, and Wednesday 2-8 PM, at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights. Funeral Thursday 9:30 AM in state with Mass at 10:00 AM, at St. James Parish, Ferndale. Burial in Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
