I remember long ago when Jeannie lived on E. Kalama. Her good friend Carol lived on E. Hudson and their back yards were back to back. Whenever they wanted to talk they went out to their back yard fence and called the other's name. And they always heard each other calling. I was there a few times when they had their chat sessions. They didn't need cell phones. 😊 Rest in peace.
