Jeanette E. Henson's Obituary
Jeanette E. Henson, age 85 of Warren, Michigan and a former resident of Livonia, Michigan passed away on August 19, 2025 at Martha T. Berry Medical Facility, Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She was born on June 22, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to Vaughn and Katherine Custard.
Beloved and Cherished Wife of the late Gene Henson who passed away on August 29, 1975. They were married on May 22, 1970. Dear Mother of Nancy Lynn (Joshua Jordan Naismith) Henson. Sister of Kay DePalma.
Jeanette grew up in Livonia, Michigan and graduated from Bentley High School in 1959. She married Gene Henson and gave birth to her only child, Nancy Henson on October 9, 1971. Jeanette was the “Kool-Aide” mom of the neighborhood and her home was always filled with kids from the neighborhood. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Hazel Park from 1976 to 1986 where she was an active part of the Singles Group. She then attended and was a member of the Ferndale Free Methodist Church where she worked parttime as a receptionist in her later years before retiring. In 1988, she returned to college graduating Magna Cum Laude with an Associates Degree from Macomb Community College in 1988. She went on to work as a medical biller for Clinton Counseling Center, then Perspectives of Troy.
Jeanette treasured most of all her role as a Mother and Homemaker, in which she was the most loving and wonderful mom ever! She will be deeply missed.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at Ferndale Free Methodist Church, 1950 Woodward Heights, Ferndale, Michigan 48220.
