Janice Cowles of Troy, Michigan was born on Thursday, October 25, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Corewell Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. Her daughter, Lori and her son, David, were by her side.
Beloved Wife of the late Richard D. Cowles, Sr. of almost 68 years. Together they owned and operated a local family business, General Caster Service for over 47 years.
Dear Mother of Richard D. (surviving Cheryl) Cowles, Jr. (Deceased), Lori Ann Gabriel and David (Carol) Cowles. Grandmother of 7, Amy Gabriel, Kelly (Jeff) Michrina, Stacy (Chris) Polemitis, Richard D. Cowles, III, Joseph (Taylor) Cowles, Jennette Cowles and Jerica (Mike) Pawley. Gigi of 10, Jeremy, Olivia, Charlette, Rilan, Rudy, Richard, IV, Andrew, Alex, Evander and Tegan.
Janice is Deeply Loved and will be missed by all.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 3:00 pm with Memorial Visitation from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
