James Roy Whitworth, Sr., age 68 of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away peacefully on June 7, 2014 at home. He was born March 22, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan.
Husband of Kathy (nee Guarnieri) Whitworth. Father of James (Karen) Whitworth, Jr. Grandfather of Tyler Whitworth and Courtney Whitworth. Son of the late Bill, II and the late Chris Whitworth. Brother of Robert (Barb) Whitworth, the late Bill Whitworth, III and the late John Whitworth. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Son in law of Betty Guarnieri. Brother in law of Mark Guarnieri, Rosanne (Frank) Taylor, Suanne M. Guarnieri and Patricia Guarnieri.
Served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
At Jim’s request, private services have been held followed by cremation. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
