James Lee Thornton III's Obituary
James Lee Thornton III of Oak Park, age 30, died October 8, 2021.
James was born August 2, 1991 in Detroit, the son of James and Lorri (Locklear) Thornton. James grew up in Ferndale.
Jamesy was a man of many hobbies. He was always looking to learn new skills and had widespread interests. If something piqued his interest he would find out how to do it. From sculpting to knitting, guitar and computer building, learning to play instruments, woodworking, cooking. His family will miss hearing about his quirky new adventures.
Jamesy was a member of several soccer teams, a kickball team and Ars Gladii School of Chivalric Arts. He really enjoyed learning the Historic European Martial Arts. He will greatly be missed by his teammates.
Jamesy was an avid gamer; video games, board games, it didn't matter. He loved them all. He was the family computer guru, if anyone needed any kind of tech help, they'd call Jamesy.
Beloved son of Jim and Lorri Thornton. Loving brother of Destinie (David) Eby, Darren and MacKenzee Thornton. Dear grandson of Jim and Maria Thornton. Loved nephew and cousin. James leaves behind his sweet cat, Kronk.
James is joining his beloved grandmother, Beverly Evans, grandfather Larry Locklear and uncles Todd Evans, Larry Locklear.
