James McGuire's Obituary
James L. McGuire, age 80, of Madison Heights for 55 years, passed away on June 20, 2010. He was born August 20, 1929 in Detroit. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Alhambra , and was a former usher at St. Vincent Ferrer Church , boy scout leader, and baseball coach. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Kathleen, children Daniel, Robert (Ann), Kathy Fontana, and Susan (Rick) Ferris, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sister Margaret Cadorette, brother in law John E. Dennis, and daughter in law Ellen McGuire. He was predeceased by his son James. Visitation Wednesday 3-9 pm (rosary at 7 pm), at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights. The funeral will be held Thursday at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, Madison Heights, instate at 9:30 am followed by a 10:00 am mass. Burial in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
