Dear Megan,
Your father was very passionate and loved to work with his students and inspire many of us. He used to be my 7th-grade social studies teacher. I remember every morning he always sang a morning sunshine song in the hallway at school and made my day more happy and brighter. He always made me laugh a lot and cheer me up when I was sad. Every class period, he read the newspaper and told us interesting stories. I was a band student and he always was supportive of the band concerts. He will be truly missed and he will always be remembered.
James was a loving father and one of the best colleagues you'd ever want to work with. He was passionate about helping his students and wanted to teach them as much as he could about history to give them a better chance to succeed in life. He adored his daughter and enjoyed talking about Megan's many accomplishments. James also enjoyed talking about his loving family who supported him through the "thick and thin" of life's ups and downs.
A fond memory will always be hearing James singing in the hallways to lighten up the atmosphere on difficult days.His great sense of humor and always had a big smile on his face everyday. I am greatful to have had the pleasure of knowing James. God Be with You Always!

I am greatful to have met and befriended Mr. Duberg. Remarkable guy and teacher. I’ll miss his voice bellowing out, "Go to lunch" to the kids from my band room and popping in my room to say hello. He was such a kind and uplifting soul. The students adored Mr. Duberg too.
I also appreciate that he was so supportive of the band program. Mr. Duberg donated a keyboard to the PMS Music Dept., volunteered to help for the band/choir concerts, and volunteered for my annual Battle of the Bands.
Mr. Duberg will be greatly missed. He was such a positive presence to everyone at PMS.
Mr. Duberg was an inspiration not only to his students, but to me also. I appreciated his loving care for his students. He was dedicated to going out of his way to meet the educational needs of his students. He was a fighter for fair and equitable education for all. He loved teaching social studies. He was very innovative and daily introduced his students to current events in the world. He will be dearly missed!

Jim Duberg was a great colleague to work with. He was passionate in his teaching and was even more passionate about justice for all people. He loved his students and treated them with the utmost love and respect. Jim had a great sense of humor and I enjoyed the many talks we had after school. He was so proud of his daughter Meg and talked about her all the time. I will always have fond memories of Jim.

Mr. Duberg was such a humble and funny person. He was a free spirit that did all he could to make all that he came in contact with feel as if they were a part of the family. His presence (especially his voice) will be missed tremendously in the hallways of Pontiac MIddle School.
