James Courtney's Obituary
James D. Courtney, age 61 of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on December 24, 2011 at Henry Ford Hospice Residence (Bortz Health Care) in Warren, Michigan. He was born on November 19, 1950 in Royal Oak, Michigan.
James is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley. Father of James Courtney, Jr. of Ft. Blackmore, Virginia; Michelle Courtney and Nathan Courtney, both of Hazel Park. Grandfather of Brittany, Brianna, Natasha, Destiny, Tabetha and Daniel. 5 brothers and sisters.
He was an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. Retired after 30 years at Chrysler Corp. He enjoyed playing guitar, drawing and was an avid collector of model cars.
Visitation Wednesday from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm, funeral service Thursday at 9:30 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Road, Hazel Park, Michigan. Burial Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
