James Melvin Allen, age 67 of Warren, Michigan passed away May 29, 2012. He was born June 6, 1944 in Petoskey , Michigan to the late Leon and Clare Allen. Beloved husband of Dorothy for 42 years. Loving father of Carl (Michelle) Walker, Sherry (Chris) Kingrey, Tammy (Jason) Boughner, and the late Vicky Ann Adams and Wendy Jo Walker. Dear grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 3. He is also survived by his brothers Jerry (Jacki) Allen, Jon (Doris) Allen, and sister June (Bob) Hartwell, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the funeral service Friday at 11:00 am, at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Road, Hazel Park, Michigan. Burial in Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, Michigan.
