Jack Derringer's Obituary
Jack Derringer, age 88 years of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on August 14, 2022 at Ascension St. John Hospital, Madison Heights, Michigan. He was born on March 25, 1934 in Wyoming County, West Virginia to Roy and Ethel Derringer.
Beloved Husband of Earlia Derringer, they were married for 66 years. Dear Father of Kathie (Charlie) Underwood, David (Darlene) Derringer and Karen Derringer. Grandfather of Jeremy, Jamie, Ryan, Clinton, Katie and Thomas. Also survived by several Step-Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He is predeceased by 6 brothers.
Retired from General Motors after 32 years. Longtime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Hazel Park. Jack served as a Marine during the Korean War from 1952 to 1955.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21st from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 22nd beginning at 10:00 am Instate followed by an 11:00 am Funeral Service at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 22323 S. Chrysler Drive, Hazel Park, Michigan with Pastor Rick Yokel officiating. Burial will be at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills, Michigan.
