Irma Emilija Jons, age 86 of Warren passed away October 3, 2012. She was born March 10, 1926 in Ventspils, Latvia. Beloved wife of the late Persijs (1998). Loving mother of Astrida Jons, Vija (Ronald) Heikka, Sarmite Comer, Skadrite Meinke, Rita Jensen, and Vilnis (Cathy) Jons. Dear grandmother of 12, great grandmother of 19, and great great grandmother of 2. She retired from the Ludington News. Visitation Thursday, 3:00 - 9:00 pm, with the funeral Friday at 11:00 am, at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights, MI. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Detroit.
