Hazel Thompson's Obituary
HAZEL THOMPSON, age 94 of Warren passed away on February 24, 2010 in Florida. She was born March 9, 1915 in Holcomb, Missouri and later lived in Piggott, Arkansas until moving to Detroit, Michigan in 1948. She worked as a cosmetic saleslady at the Montgomery Wards Warren store until retiring in 1979, after which she moved to Florida, where she enjoyed fishing and gardening. Since retiring she has also lived in Arizona before moving back to Warren, Michigan. She is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Pearl Thompson, siblings Walter Cletus Thompson, Opal Coburn, and Polly Looney, ex-husband Harvey Cullum, son Harvey Delaine Cullum, daughter Louise Rogers, and three grandsons: Tommy Rogers, Ricky Rogers, and Gary Harris. She is survived by her daughters Margie Culpepper of Phoenix, Arizona and Virginia (Chuck) Harris of Warren, Michigan, daughter-in-law Barbara Cullum of Stuart, Florida, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, nephew Jerry Rogers of Dryden, Michigan, and niece Elaine Nixon of Piggott, Arkansas. Visitation will be Sunday 3-9 pm, with the funeral Monday at 11 am, at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Rd., Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
