Hascal Owens' Obituary
HASCAL BERNARD OWENS, age 77, of Madison Heights for 39 years, died December 8, 2009 at his home with his family surrounding him. He was born January 11, 1932 in Prater, Virginia. A U.S. Air Force Veteran, Mr. Owens retired after 38 years from Ford Motor Company in 2000. He belonged to American Legion #374 in Berkley, loved watching football, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth; children Alicia (Larry Brockton) Owens, Steve (Mary) Owens, Teresa (Thomas) Cornea, Denine (William) Bigger and Gary (June) Owens; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters Clarice Stafford and Emma Gaye Moore; and daughters-in-law Denise Kegal and Donna Owens. He was preceded in death by his sons Anthony Robert and John Wendel Owens. Visitation will be Thursday 5-9 PM and Friday 2-9 PM, with the funeral Saturday at 11:00 AM, at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights. Burial will follow in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
