Harold D. “Harry” “Hal” Brenizer, age 82 of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on January 22, 2017. He was born on January 25, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan.
Beloved Husband of Linda Brenizer. Dear Father of Dawn Babb, Ronald Brenizer, Kathleen (Greg) Tibitoski, John Young, Curt (Bobbi) Young, Craig (Pam) Young, Norm Young, Harold (Pam) Brenizer, Jr., Connie (Chai) Wilkie and Pam (David) Dotson. Grandfather of 23 and Great-Grandfather of 6.
He graduated from Missouri Military Academy and spent 43 years as an Optician. He was heavily involved in Hazel Park activities. He was a Scout Master for the Cub Scouts, softball coach, wrestling club, Hazel Park quarterback club, HP Booster Club, 30 years on the Hazel Park School Board, he was a lifetime member of the Clawson-Troy Elks for 58 years. He was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge 130. A long time and long standing member of the Hazel Park Lions Club. He was a Hazel Park City employee for 20 years. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Clawson-Troy Elks Lodge 2169 will hold the Lodge of Sorrows at 7:30 pm Tuesday evening. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25th at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Rev. Paul Gateman will officiate. Burial to take place at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Hazel Park Lions Club.
