Guisseppe “Joe” Palazzola, age 95 of Madison Heights, Michigan won the ultimate battle and was called to glory on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 while surrounded by his loving family at his home.
Born on October 24, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Guisseppe and Pietranilla Palazzola.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army Air Force, proudly serving in World War II and was a member of American Legion. He married the love of his life, Genevieve, in 1956. Retiree of Ford Motor Company after 32 years of service, proud member of UAW. Retired from Clarkston Carbied Tools and Machine Repair. Faithful member of St. Vincent Ferrer Church and the Fr. James P. Heary Council # 7239 Knights of Columbus.
Proceeded in death by his beloved parents, Brothers Sam (Rose), Michael (Mary), Savario, Anthony and sister Patrina (Frank) Abbate.
Survived by his wife of 62 years Genevieve, children Sylvia (Kent) Brown, Joe (Beth), Paul (Donna), 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Barbara Palazzola and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a K of C Rosary Service at 7:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. The Funeral will be held on Monday, February 25th beginning at 9:30 am - Instate followed by the 10:00 am Mass at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
